My Papaw bought me a NEF 410 when I was about 10. Its one of my favorite guns. I killed a rabbit with it yesterday.

H&R is now H&R 1871. Remingon/ H&R 1871 won't even service the H&R guns manufactured prior to the acquisition

I sent an email asking for the age and a manual. It took a couple of weeks to get it, but they did send it. What about Marlin? They were owned by H&R 1871. Will they not service those guns either?

My first 2 guns were New England firearms. In fact most of my friends had NEF as their first weapons.

Maybe they changed their policy I was only relating an experience from a few years ago. However if you look at their current webpage it states they are not able to offer service on "older" firearms. Not sure what that means though. I have never contacted Marlin for service so I don't know whatbthey may offer. I will say though they are about as easy to work on as a savage, so you'd probably never need to send one back. Unless it was a new one. 😊
