Bought these from PSA last night. I figured I'd shoot it a lil and see how I like it. Pretty cheap set up. Anyone have any experience with this combo?

PSA PA10 18" Mid Length Stainless Steel .308 WIN 1:10 Upper w/ BCG and Charging Handle

Blem PTAC10 .308 Complete Classic Lower Receiver

No experience with those, but I've considered buying thr same PSA combo. I'm interested to hear your opinion on it once you shoot it. The only complaints I've read about it are the lack of documentation and it uses a mix of DPMS spec parts and Armalite spec parts, and that one of the takedown pins is a PSA proprietary part. The proprietary part is what annoyed most people. I can find links fot what is armalite and what was dpms if you need me too. I think I book marked on home computer.

Good luck and post back your opinion on it.

The biggest thing to avoid with the PA10 or PTAC lower is mixing it with another brand of upper. There is a difference with the pins but if you buy the complete lower and put it on a stripped upper that you build out yourself you shouldn't have any problems. I have also read where certain triggers will not fit the PSA Lowers. They are supposedly built for a mil spec AR trigger so that being said any trigger that is mil spec in dimension SHOULD fit ...theoretically anyway

It's all palmetto arms so it should fit. You'd think if it were not compatible they would at least advertise that.

I've got the regular PA10 package they have. Got about 100 rounds thru my first range trip. Shot great pretty dang accurate. I would think those will fit together fine.

Yeah, that would be nice. I called them to try and get some answers "straight form the horses mouth" so to speak. The product knowledge of the customer service rep I spoke to SUX!! The only thing he could say was if you use parts other than our you will most likely have to do some work on them...I asked if he could be a little more specific and he simply said no...I informed him that their description stated the 308 lower used mil spec fire control parts and his response was "Uh it does?....Hold on" he put me on hold then came back and said yeah they will fit...I was like "no chit"...

Yeh those two are gonna fit together. You only run into problems if your trying to come up with your own parts kits or trying to mix none ptac/psa parts. The lack of documentation and PSA knowledge on their own product turned off some people. Gundocs experience seems to be fairly common. Plus, that proprietary take down pin added yet another part into the AR 10 world that wasn't a dpms or armalite and that kinda sucks. I'm not crapping on the PSA AR 10, I might get one too. Just passing on the information I found out about it.

I've had good luck with PSA's stuff. For the money and getting something affordable I almost don't see the pin issue as a real big deal. You'd just have to build/buy other uppers from PSA receivers... which I would probably do anyway. Unless I was going to spend a lot more money the parts/barrels, etc. I have got from them are all good to go. No accuracy problems for me, etc.

Report back on how you like it once you've got it on deck. They are tempting me for the money.

The lower came in today! It says processing on the upper. It has a blemish on the trigger guard that could be easily touched up. However I think I'll strip it down and put a coat of paint on it to make it look all "tactical" lol.
How about a good solid cheap optic? What would you guys recommend? I'll probably hunt with it some in greenfields and take it to my buddies camp to wipe out some swine.

Cool. Throw a pic or two up.

I like PSA alot. Everything I have gotten from them has been great.

I'm not to worried about the pin issue either. Just wanted to make anyone reading this to be aware. For insurance you might want to be an extra pin on next psa order, since they are the only source for that particular part.

Well here it is. Gotta figure out what kind of optic I'm going to go with. Not too bad for what I paid. BTW everything feels good and functions properly. I haven't got a chance to shoot it yet but that will come soon enough.

I've been looking at those hard . interested in the function and accuracy. Everything palmetto I have seen has been very nice considering the price.
