For bone fish? You'll prob be better off finding a dock or a sea wall and using live shrimp and a bag of chum

we dropped a friend off at the Key West airport many years ago and the place was loaded with queers. Downtown Key West was worse.

Not many on the wading flats though, guess sharks will eat queers.

Ck and see when the tarpon are feeding on the worms and go then.
Tarpon are on my bucket list!
Cuda and sharks are great sport fish just use wire. Use closed toe shoes if you are wade fishing and drag your feet to push the rays out.
Have fun and post a report!

All good advice. Watch out for Sea Urchins too.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

i dont think many wade fishermen will land a tarpon. all the ones that ive caught or been a part of catching, required at least a 30 minute fight and running them down with the outboard. 98 percent of the tarpon that i have seen in the keys were 100 pounds or better and i have seen thousands upon thousands of them. last one i caught with my grandfather was 150 lbs, he pushed a button on his gps that would record our track right when we hooked up and i fought that fish for 2 hours and 45 minutes and 2 and a half miles.

I hooked a tarpon in Stuart Fl in the river on a heavy bass rod and 17# line. Wife and I fought it for 5 1/2 hours and seven miles before boating it, app 175 pounds. A tarpon that dosen't jump is a bear to land and will run like crazy.

Catching a tarpon is a dream of mine. When I was a kid, my family went on a trip to the keys. Dad and I went on a fishing trip near the 7 mile bridge I think, and dad hooked into a big tarpon. He fought it for about an hour and a half before it broke off right next to the boat. I still have a picture of dad after that fight, he looked like somebody had ran him hard and put him up wet.

That same trip, we went on a trip a little further offshore and caught some mahi-mahi. They'd been on ice the whole ride back, and when we got to the dock they handed me one I'd caught to pose for a pic. probably a 10 or 12 lb fish. that slippery SOB slipped right through my hands, and the second it went into the water a huge tarpon came up and ate it whole. The deck hands and the captain got a good chuckle about that. I was somewhat mortified.
