xpress use to be( and still is) a good boat. it seems though they are not a s roomy as they use to be. i had an 01 18ft and it was a big azz boat for 18 ft.. Check a tracker out as well unless you dont like them. But my vote is the xpress

I have the xpress xp 20 CC ,115 yam. 2012 yr. Just turned 300 hours ,use it here on the rivers and Louisiana marsh. Nice stable boat, very happy with it.
Things I don't like : no bus bar or fuse block, all inline fuses, big glob of wires under console. No problem yet but gonna be hard to trouble shoot when the time comes.
Stern heavy, all 3 batteries and gas tank in very back,I'll move the TM batts under console or up front before long.
Factory paint flakes off. They have repainted it twice, this one is holding up so far. No hassle from factory as they would come get it and bring it back, just out of a boat 4-6 weeks for repaint.
Last is my fault, should have sea trialed diff models. Get the bay or tunnel hull model, mine is fine for the river but not enough V for the bay.
All boats are a compromise so I'm happy with mine. Would definitely by another Xpress just do a little better homework .

Get the boat that will fit your needs 90% of the time and learn to live with the other 10%. They don't make one that does it all.
I got that from the Gator Trax website. That saying holds true for alot of things, not just boats.

I am on my 3rd Xpress ... Sold first one to upgrade to 2nd one. Gave 2nd to my dad when he retired and bought #3.
I have had good luck out of mine. They are so much better built than some of the other brands of aluminum boats. The Yamaha 4 stroke I got on the 2nd boat is quiet, easy on gas and other than the normal oil change and replacing the impeller has been trouble free for 7 years.
If you do decide to go with a Xrpress I would suggest checking with dealers in La. and Ar. The closer to the Xpress plant in Ar. the cheaper they are. I was pricing a 20 or 21 ft'r a few years back and the same one in La or Ar. was anywhere from $1800-2800 cheaper than here in Bama.

I currently own the camo 1860 G3 with 90hp Yamaha. Previously I had the Xpress vx17cc with a Yamaha 60. I LOVED my xpress but when I was looking at new boats they were a bit pricey. They were charging an arm & a leg for accessories like the CC livewell. I believe they have better storage but the gas tank in the back sucks if you have 4 batteries like me. The G3 has a very open floor but less storage. I use my front livewell for storage. The gas tank is forward of the CC and it helps balance things out. Sea Arks are pretty badass as well. I looked at the Lowe Roughneck and like them but they seemed a little cramped.
All of that being said, if you want to check out the G3 and an Xpress without driving across the country shoot me a PM and I will give you my address. You are more than welcome to come check out my G3 (in the driveway or on the water, I take it out all the time) and my neighbor has an xpress. I know a fella with a Sea Ark as well.
How will you be using the boat?

For what its worth, my buddy has a like new 2010 G3 Eagle 190 side console he is fixing to sell, Motor has less than 100 hours on it. He just ordered him a new 21' War Eagle. I can get some more info if anyone is interested

My father in law just got his express back from Arkansas,he has a 16-17 ft CC that he bought new last year,he had to send it back because the welds were breaking on the beams under the deck,we used to have a g3 and I liked it a lot better,he hasn't had a lot of good things to say about his express
