I'm looking to join a trophy hunting club within around 45 minutes or so from Montgomery. Looking for a low pressure type club that has a favorable member to land ratio and only shoots mature deer. I'm the member you hope to have more of--hunts a few times a year and doesn't shoot a buck but about every three years or so If you know of any high quality clubs please respond or send me a PM. Thanks

Last I heard that type of club in that area is usually family and or friend that a family member will have to vouch for. I was invited to join one eight years ago and the dues were 5,000 annually at that time. Montgomery Hunting Club is located just south of Pine Level and is a good club from what I've been told by a co worker that was a member. I don't know if any members on here hunt there or not but one of the members in charge owns the hunting store in Troy but I am drawing a blank on the name. I'm in there all the time plus I bought a rifle from there two years ago. Dadgumit! I hate when that happens!

If you mean the Troy Sports Shop it is owned by Thomas Calhoun and his wife Diane. That's it! Call Mr. Calhoun and talk to him.
