I could have limited out this year, but I'm trying to shoot old warriors, not two year olds. We think we have record book Toms on our place and are more about managing the birds for age. You serious Clark? This may be the dumbest chit I've ever read on here. I'm wondering if his buddy Ol CM approves of this post? That's the guy that came on here and lied about getting his ass whipped for trespassing and Bill defended him. This guy is just trying to stir up some stuff (again).

It is impossible to manage for trophy turkeys. You can manage for turkeys, but not trophy turkeys.

I don't appreciate being called a liar Bc, dipshit I'm ok with.....carry on.... You posted this on March 22'nd. Then you followed up with this on March 29'th. Amazing healing abilities you have there going from a swelled shut eye with blood vessels busted 360 degrees all the way around the eye, to nothing in a weeks time. If the shoe fits.

who the heck are these bunch of new guys that come on here posting all this BS stuff?
From the fake black eye...to the "trophy turkey management"and the " couldve tagged out but waiting for a BOONER turkey" while just 2 weeks earlier was complaining how all he calls in is jakes and hows hes gonna bust one!
LOL...this dang place is turning into goober freakin central!
I actually was part of trophy turkey management. 20000 acres and we would only shoot TEN trophy Osceolas...but we had hundreds of gobblers on the land.
Later we had 40000 acres and only shot 20 gobblers.
Even then it was hard!..I had to be zoomed in at 12 power or more...spot the long hooks and give the shooter an OK.
The idea of KNOWING a trophy bird..especially in an grass over 6 inches is almost impossible.

Keep it up CM and WB, cause your making this "annoying" Noles fan look pretty good right now!!!
Go Noles! To the OP. I would pay attention to what the true turkey seriel killers on this thread have to say. They back it up with pics, in color.

LOL..this^^^^ Id go to the hottest bird I hear gobblin if youre hearing any. Hens are going to nest now, dominant birds losing hens and being without for the first time all season and will come in this time of year LIKE a two year old. Matter of fact..I know a pretty knowledgable hunter from here who shot one of those big old birds a couple days ago...but he didnt post about it, so I wont say who. If youre not hearing any you can either walk until you hit one or set up where youve at least seen them, and then play the patient route and see if you can fire one up..or catch one sneakin round.

I wouldnt go all crazy with the runnin & gunnin tactics. Play it cool. Set up where you feel comfortable. Nestle in and be patient. Cover your self up in leaves while scratching in the leaves like turkey do. Its just like calling. How many times have you heard of people moving too early and spooking birds when they got up? More times than not the Tom was there they just werent patient enough. Scratch, soft call, then scratch more, and WAIT! Its been working for us and I hope it works for you. OR..you could do this^^^^ lay there covered with leaves like Rambo...scratching (from the dang chiggers Id guess) and soft calling...( for help I guess too) and hope one comes along...then like whild Bill..just reach out and SNATCH him by the neck and shake him until hes dead. Of course...check his spurs and age him by his teeth BEFORE you snatch and shake !
