Just made the Hershey ice cream and it was good but not very thick. Is there something you can add to thicken up homemade cream?

Yes, I don't use the recipe above, but have always used raw eggs and evaporated milk, along with whole milk.

They are probably raw.....If you're using a hand crank maker, turn that crank a little longer. That'll thicken the cream up. If using an electric maker, keep pouring on the ice and rock salt. Also, if the ice cream maker stops, unplug, give it a shake, and plug back in. The longer the ice cream maker turns, the thicker it tends to get.
