I need to have a tree removed from the front of my house. It has the power line running through it. It isn't too large but too large for me to tackle. Do you guys have someone you can recommend in the Alabaster/Pelham/Helena area that you could recommend?

Thanks

Call the power company. If the line is running through it they may drop it for you.

This should be your first call.

The power company will at least take some of it down. Give 'em a call.

If it is the service drop to your house, you may be on your own. Worth a call though.

If APCO won't do anything I recommend Gray's tree service. They just took one down for me and did a really good job. Hauled it off the same day.

It is the service drop that is running through it. I had heard that APCO would not deal with it in that case. I may give them a call anyway just to see.

Thanks fellas

If it's the service drop, then it's generally considered a "homeowner responsibility". APCO probably won't be much help in this case, but it's at least worth a phone call

I have a friend that works for Edco which is a contractor for Apco and he said they will drop the service but they won't cut it.
