I've got both and like both. I don't scratch my guns, so a wooden stock is not an issue with me. I wish I could figure out how not to scratch them. Seams like the harder I try not to the bigger the scratch is. That's why most of my rifles and shotguns are synthetic. I also have a couple with wood and they are all scratched up but no rust. Can't stand to see rust on any gun.

Either is fine with me as long as the gun is accurate.

Can't stand to see rust on any gun. If you are actually hunting, you will get scratches on a wooden stock unless it is constantly on your mind. This is why I won't own a deer rifle with a wooden stock. Shotgun is a different story.

EHH I agree and that is my problem. My rifles are tools and get used and abused. The only gun I treat with extreme care is my citori o/u. I've used them as paddles, machetes, shovels, walkin stiks and even used them as a hammer. They ride on the 4 wheeler, in the truck, on tractors and combines, and drug around in a boat also. The chance of me ever owning a fancy rifle is slim to none. The rifle doesn't deserve the treatment it would get.
