Anyone use hunting apps on their cellphones? Any favorites? Used to like Scoutlook but new update totally changed look and navigation.

I use GPS Hunt. I think I pay 2.99 per month for the elite version. I shows me the public land boundaries.

Scoutlook, I really like it now after the update! If you will really spend the time and get used to it you will like it too. I like the log addition to it as well as adding photos.

onX Hunt and GPS Hunt

onX Hunt is the one that shows property lines and owners names.

I now use huntstand lite.....but I've never really used any of em much. I mainly use em just to mark my stand locations until I get home and update my Google earth map. It can be difficult to find the exact tree your stand is in when your at home, but marking it on the app makes it easier. I would like to find an app that has a newer updated aerial of my areas I hunt. I also mark scrapes, rub lines, heavily used food sources, and places where I jump does out of their beds. I can't tell ya how many times I've jumped does out of the same bed over and over.

Yes you're right. I just need to get used to navigating the new app. Adding the log instead of having two separate apps is much better. I also downloaded another free one called the Journal but haven't used yet.

I like having the weather and knowing before you leave your house or camp which stand is good to hunt with a given wind. Or if the rain is coming. Some of them are pretty cool.

Yes definitely makes easier. Not sure if hunt stand lite has weather but with Scoutlook you can check weather and wind at your stand locations to pick the right one before you get there.

Big fan of Hunt Predictor you can set locations and check the conditions. Makes it easier to decide where and when to go

I downloaded that one on my iPad but haven't played with it yet. Glad to hear it has good features. I'll check it out over weekend.

I use Huntstand Lite. Very user friendly. I can measure field size and measure distance very easily and accurately. I'm sure there are others that are similar, I have just found this one to be easy to use.

Scoutlook is great ... if you have cell service where you hunt otherwise it is worthless.

I use GPS Hunt because it allows you to download maps to your device and use them offline, but I am still not real keen on it. Do any of these other apps for iPhones allow you use them offline?

I don't like the Scoutlook since I had to upgrade. It will not stop running advertisements on my page!

Scoutlook is the one I use. I'm sure others are just as good if not better, but that's the one that was available years back when I had my iPhone 4 and that's the one I stuck with.
