While shooting my bow today, I noticed that my Assasin has a loud thump/twang. I'm positive the thump is coming from the string stop. I've done some research and read where guys were having the same problem and replaced their stock string stop with a bow rattler string stop. Do any of yall have any experience with this? Thanks

Try adjusting it, sometimes closer, sometimes further away from the string. Also, not sure about the assassins ss, but my prodigy was hollow. I took it off and stuffed cotton in it to fill the void. Added some cat whiskers and it's quiet as a church mouse.

I don't have any experience with the bow rattler string stop, but it couldn't hurt to give it a try.

All the assassins are loud. three deer out of the four I killed with mine were shot in the spine due to jumping the string. Glad I got rid of that one.

String leaches or any other things on the bow to quiet it down? My Bear was quite loud and I had a nice buck jump the string on me. Put a couple leaches on the string and it quieted it down pretty good. But play with the sting stop location and shoot it. May just need to be adjusted in or out like has been said before. Try the cheap stuff first before spending too much money.

Invest in some Sims on that bow !
