I have a Hoyt maxxis , had a Reezen 7.0 . I liked both .but if I was looking for a new bow I'd go with a custom long bow !!

I wasn't shooting Hoyts when the Vectrix came out.

Brad- just go shoot as many as you can put your hands on. You'll find one you like. Likely it will be a little faster, smoother and quiter than your current model.
All companies have good bows now. I would at least try each of these: Hoyt, BowTech, New Breed, Elite, Mathews, Obsession and PSE.

if you are going to get a new bow I wouldn't listen to what others on here say you should shoot, I'd go with what feels natural in your hand. That for me is a hoyt, I can't stand the way a Mathews feels while I'm holding it. As for what you get, like others have said, more let off, lighter bow, limbs that haven't been shot 5k times and new technology on rest, sights, arrows etc.. when you deck it out

Y'all haven't answered his question. Some companies give you a hat with the purchase of a new bow, others give nice window decals. Some give both. Seriously though, like it's been stated above, you may gain some speed, may be quiter, may be smoother. On the other hand, you really may not gain much at all if you don't bow hunt that much. I've sold bows that I've regreted selling before. I've shot some that felt great in the store, but ended up not being any better than some older bows that I had a lot of confidence in. If you just bow hunt occasionally and you're happy with the setup you have now, don't go shopping.

At a minimum....less felt vibration, less noise and more speed. Most likely a smoother draw and also a better back wall.
I don't view a lighter bow as a plus. A heavier bow is more conducive to accuracy vs a lighter bow, all else being equal, especially when adrenaline is pumping.
It amazes me how some guys will lug around a 9lb rifle with a 3lb hubble scope on it and then complain about a 5lb bow being too heavy.
You're only as good as your worst shot-
