i bought a used f250 07 6.0. First thing i did was get egr delete and add an oil cooler. So far I've had to replace one injector and one glow plug. Other than that its been good. Biggest thing make sure you do regular oil changes(5000 miles) on these 6.0's!! My mechanic worked at the ford place for 17 years. He drives an Excursion with a 6.0 and his personally opinion is the 6.0's the best out there.

I had much less trouble out of an '06 with a 6.0 than with a 2011 with the 6.7.

I will only buy a durmax however; Got 01 new injectors at 72k under warrenty, new transmission at 122k, injector pump and filter housing and transfer case, so durmax are not without issues

Duramax went all the way to Lubback Texas to get my 08 and haven't hooked to anything it would not pull or haul and it get great gas mileage and rides great.
