Slavery was a huge issue not the main issue but a big issue. Most black people see that flag as representing a bad time in the history of this country which I think it was. So I could totally see why they are offended. If you want to fly it at your house do it like we do at our camp. but on state and government property it doesnt need to be there in my opinion. The north had slaves but when it was abolished they for the most part freed their slaves. The confederates fought the end of slavery which is one of the things that helped lead to the civil war, but not the only thing. The swastika wasnt always meant to represent Nazis and offend jews but it does, because it also represents a bad time in their history so I understand that too.
Being tolerant of other peoples beliefs that may differ from your own, is what this country was established upon and why we left brittain.

I'm probably the last person that should be giving advice, but it occurred to me earlier that although I don't agree with most of what bwood is saying, doesn't mean I or anyone else should dislike the man or critize him. He'll never get on the right track like that. Y'all cut the young man a little slack,everyone can't be a young genius like myself.

So because my opinion is different than the majority on this page and I dont just see things as 100% conservative or liberal thats speaking out of both sides of my mouth. No I think that it means I try to form logical opinions based on facts. Not going by what some hardcore right or left wing posts on facebook and using it to support my facts. I can show videos or articles that support both sides of the issue. Their is no possible way that all republicans view everything the same, just like all democrats dont either. We are all individuals not "OBAMA LIBS" or "HARDCORE FOX NEWS CONSERVATIVES" each person is different. So to throw out such blanket statements like a lot of people do is truly ignorant, not stupid, but ignorant.

I think we are all somewhat smart not stupid, but many on here seem to be ignorant to how the real world is outside of the conservative Alabama bubble. Everything isnt black or white their is a lot of gray. So call me a Lib all you want, hate on me all you want, my way of thinking isnt always right. But at least I am not a sheep and simply follow the crowd with no knowledge on what Im talking about. I research alot at night and I can assure you most on here havent done anything but watch Fox News or if your a LIB CNN. Thats not news its just not its opinion based news.
