Any of u guys bow hunt Blue Springs? Not wanting to steal spots just wanting some info,whether it's good or bad.

Been hunting there for over 20 years. Off all week for smokepole season. Home today letting this rain push through. Be back up there tomorrow thru the weekend.

Just looking for a good starting point quailman. I've looked at the maps and it's hard to judge some spots by google maps. I would be going in the Open pond rd I'm guessing? I wrk shift wrk I won't be able to go til nxt week. I hunt with a bow yr round.

Open Pond is by the check station and campground.

There are a lot of other roads on the land. If you only bowhunt, you will have that place all to yourself most days.

Ive dog hunted tgere in the years past. There are some beautiful bottoms ll always held deer. Give me a few days and ill mark a map where i always wanted to go back and bow hunt. Wish i was closer to hunt it.

Thanks countryjwh!!! Any help is appreciated!! Wrking southern swing shift limits how much I spend in the woods. I don't mind doing the dirty wrk tho. It's a lot of land to see with only the few hours I'm able to hunt. I'm off Wednesday..gonna sleep a few hours that morning and hunt from lunch til dark. Thanks!!!

Lots of good spots in the Blue Springs WMA. I hunted there for three years before I was able to get in a club. Quailman is right about having the place to yourself most of the time. I'm from Lower Alabama myself, live about 20 minutes from Open Pond. I'd be glad to show you around or point you to some good spots if needed.

I sat over close to 349 Wednesday evening. Didn't see a deer but saw some sign.

Been slow there lately. It will pick up if we can get some cold weather.
