I have read updating it by computer will fix this, but have not tried it.

which browning you have? I have the strike force and have not encountered this problem.

It's the 2014 model with a. 67 trigger speed.. I can't remember if it's the strike force or spell ops to be honest. Just doesn't make much sense

It depends which one it is. If it's a last years model of strike force, it will need to be updated. There are still stores selling last years model, which is the strike force, not strike force HD.

Also it could be the angle you have it set at. I've seen mine do this when I had it pointed towards the sky by mistake.

And if it's the range ops model, one of mine does this from time to time. But after a few pics it straightens itself out. It seems like it doesn't see that it's night, like it thinks it's still daylight.

My Strike Force only lasted a year. It was a replacement for another Browning that lasted only a year. I am not a believer in their trail cams. They do make good firearms.

if it's a 2014 model, just update it. Go to the website and follow the instructions exactly and you'll be good. The update fixes black nighttime pics, they also had a problem with once you cut the cam off, it would still continue to be armed and take pics. The update fixes that too

This same thing happened to one of my browning cams that was a year old. I updated the firmware (check out brownings website for directions) and it is working fine.

I had the same issue...
I returned mine before I learned about the firmware update. I really liked the camera. Took really good pics both day and night. Not sure why, but mine worked well and then all of a sudden started with the grainy, black night pics.

From everything I read, the update should fix it.

Hey guys was just going to give an update on the camera.. I got it out this morning after my hunt with intentions to update firmware... Well I don't have to after all.. I pulled the card and it took 40 pics last night and wouldn't you know every single one of them are as clear as can be. I don't know what the deal was with it.. But we good to go now.. Guess with it being new it just needed to warm up... Thanks for all of the replies guys hope all of you have a happy Thanksgiving

I'd still do an update so you won't get black pictures next time you check it. It's a known issue with the 2014 models, so it will likely do it again. But, that's just me.
