bowtarist OP THE Octopus Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 4,700 Pisgah, AL	This is probably the worst year I've had since my teens. I can't seem to even buy one. I'm trying to shoot a doe with my gun for the freezer and go back to bow huntin but I've not seen a deer on stand since gun season opened.

I'm seeing deer but I haven't found a spot yet that I've had confidence in. I'm a little harder to please than most people when it comes to sitting n a tree though. I've walked miles this year in bankhead and haven't seen anything like last year. A little sign is better than no sign and u can usually find a little sign on an edge. Good luck and dnt quit.

But it was this way last year, kinda like a lull on my place. It'll be this way until either it gets really cold and stays cold or the rut gets here, whichevers first.

In 4 sits with a rifle, have not seen a thing. Camera shows deer in the field more than half the evenings right at sunset. Guess I have just been picking the wrong days.
