Do you guys have a favorite scent killer or cover scent. Does anyone make their own cover scents.

I use unscented soap like you wash your clothes in. I pour that in a spray bottle about 3/4 full of water. Seems to work haven't had a deer blow at me in a long time and it smells just like scent killer spray

We will burn that bridge when we get there

I use scent a way I think. I use the soap prior to going hunting, was my clothes in the soap and use the dryer sheets. I still spray all of my clothes prior to walking to my stand and again once I make it to the stand. Maybe I'm overdoing it, maybe not even. I just don't want to take any chances

I've used fox urine as a cover scent. It seemed to work. I don't remember where I got it though.

I take serious precautions to remain scent free. I will use evercalm on my rubber boots. That stuff absolutely works.

Late in the rut, I have used the original buck bomb with some success. I have a 9 pt on the wall that scent checked the corner of the field after I sprayed it. I also have a video of a 7pt that I passed that came straight downwind looking for the doe after I dumped 1/4 can out of the shooting house.

gum spirits of turpentine--it's a natural cover scent if there are any pines where you hunt.

Hunter's Specialties Fresh Earth Scent wafers. Nothing is full-proof though if the wind gets shifty. I got snort wheezed about 10 minutes til dark Monday.

Another thing I do is hang my clothes outside. If I do a morning hunt, when I'm done I remove all my outer layers and hang them on a gate, fence or rail to air out and pick up the local scents. I don't know if it works but it probably doesn't hurt either. First time my buddys saw this, he asked why I was doing laundry.
