So I killed my first ever bobcat opening weekend and am looking to have it mounted and I have heard more horror stories than good ones lol. Anyone know of a good bobcat taxidermist in the Bham area or around North Alabama where I hunt? I already have the tag so no issue with that. I'm willing to pay a little extra to have it done right.

Thanks for the help.

Master Taxidermist Jessica Stevens in Painter does world class cat mounts. It's her specialty

No offense to Jessica but what I saw on her site doesn't compare to this. Next time I kill a big one, I'm going to do my best to find out who did this one.

If a bobcat went to a mall to have his Glamor shots made, that is what they would look like. Those cats look alive.

On another note, not knocking the price because of the work and talent involved, but who pays $650 to have a raccoon mounted?

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Yeah no joke that's awesome. I'll be sure to call Sheree at the Rack Shack too. What would be considered fair price for great work. Like I said earlier, I don't mind paying a little more just want it to be done right. Here's my bobcat by the way: bobcat pic

Bobcats are just hit or miss in my opinion no matter who does the taxidermy. A very small percentage look really alive. They are tough animals to make really look good. You see some really exceptional mounts but most are average at best.

I kinda agree blade I have seen some that look like a "stuffed" animal and some that really make you question if that thing is alive lol

Whenever I hear someone say they want to get a cat done, all I can think of is this.

I know he is not in your area but Murphy in Mobile did this one for me 15 or so years ago. I thought it turned out nice. [img:center]http:// [/img]

Hicks Taxidermy in Tuscaloosa (Northport) did this 40lb cat for me almost 20 years ago. Still looks as good as the day I picked it up
