What about Remington premier acutip 130 grain? Anyone shoot these? Ballistics look great out of a .270. I shot these last year out of my .308 and they shot great. That big buck I shot year year was killed with one of these bullets A 270 is a forgiving caliber. What I mean by that, is you can get away with using a wide range of bullets and have success. It's a large enough round that standard cup & core bullets perform reasonably well. It's not fast enough to experience bullet failure (usually) do to over expansion. It is fast enough, however, to make most bullets expand reliably. I've honestly never had a bullet underperform in my 270. I've shot everything from NBT and Game King to Barns TSX and Accubonds along with nearly all the cup and core bullets. The ONLY bullet I've ever been disappointed with was the 130 core-lokt. I killed 5 deer with them and just wasnt impressed.

Hornady Custom is good stuff and shoots very close to my reloads, I have used this in different calibers before I reloaded and always had good results.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

150 grain corelocks worked good for me, killed 3 drt,2 ran 30 yards and 1 my son shot that probably ran 50 yards. only reason i switched to the hornaday btsp (brown box) (dont make them anymore either) was for longer range. When i run out probably go back to the remmy's

I hate that Hornady changed over to the American Whitetail. The Hornady Custom 140 BTSP were my favorite bullet for 20+ years. Wish they would bring that bullet combo back.
I now have a buddy reload them for me and they've done well.
