Just my thoughts, but the onside kick was a momentum changer. If points were to follow, which it did, it was to put a foot on Clemsons throat. But Clemson didn't roll over like they were suppose to. They kept fighting. Now, the on side kick was a gamble. If they got it and put points up, Alabama was suppose to roll. Would they have?? Any other coach except maybe Urban Myer does the on side kick, don't get it, and loses the ball game is considered an idiot that lost the game for his team. Saban, with 4 NC's already under his belt, didn't have to worry about repercussions of a gamble even though he was confident it would work.

When Coker scrambled on 3rd down and dove for the first down at the 3. If he doesn't make that, Bama kicks a fg and loses the game.

We have a winner ! i just wonder what the season would have been like if they had used Howard like they should have. Maybe if he was better known he would have been covered heavily like Henry was.

Well, they might coulda won 1 more game...or they might woulda lost 3 others where henry took over. Everything happens for a reason.

The touchdown pass that was not that Harrison successfully broke up in the end zone was the play that is getting overlooked.

The touchdown pass that was not that Harrison successfully broke up in the end zone was the play that is getting overlooked. That was HUGE. Hell of a play by Harrison to finish through the play. Coker getting the 1st down while scrambling in the red zone was huge. This game was full of big time plays, hard to accredit any one particular thing to being "the" game changer. To me, any time that they held Clemson to punting the ball was as important as anything.
The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.

When Coker scrambled on 3rd down and dove for the first down at the 3. If he doesn't make that, Bama kicks a fg and loses the game. I started a thread this morning listing what I thought were the biggest plays in the game and this was one of them. Was it the biggest? I think it was after dissecting the game today with other Bama fans and a former player.

I'm not sure Bama would have scored at all if he doesn't make that first down. Little Orphan Adam only misses kicks in big games.

Lets face it, there was no one play. Bama was rolling and wouldn't be stopped. There were so many great plays, so many players stepped up and gave all they could on that nite. They were an unbeatable force. Roll Tide

Clemson's best corner getting hurt enough (hamstring) to have to leave. I know he was already hurt some, but he was doing a good job in coverage.

Lots of big "gotta have it plays" in the game and many could of/should of moments that make for great conversation but one I like best was seeing the smile on Saban's face after the on side kick worked to perfection. That kick was huge.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...
