Now this is just hypothetical and I'd like a discussion on this but here are the rules
5000acres 15 members 25 green fields lush and beautiful Dues for membership $500 yr No guest/kids/family restrictions the more the merrier
Now here's the fun part:
Each deer killed on a membership count towards that membership. Unlimited deer though Since it's such a cheap club for so much land we gotta fundraiser Does are $250 Bucks under 3.5yrs are $500 First buck that's 3.5yrs is $250 then increases by $100 Green field hunts are $25 a hunt
Whatcha think?

Good luck with that. I think you'd need an enforcer/accountant on staff full-time to keep up with it and that'd end up running members off.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.
Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

"The more the merrier" part is what turns me off from the whole Idea.
It sounds like it would be difficult to maintian/ enforce but could break up the monotomy of a regular ole huntin club.
The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.

I kinda like your concept because the additional money for each deer would really force the members to think before pulling the trigger. However, I think you risk having very few deer killed and be unable to pay the lease. Lastly, I don't like the fact that a doe costs the same as a 3.5 year old buck. If someone wants a deer for meat, you should encourage them to take a doe for that instead of a 3.5 year old buck.

It sounds like your idea is to generate a personal profit. If that is your plan, just become an outfitter.

I believe your gonna need more than 25 green fields, unless they are humongous. I'd still suggest making more 50-100 in the 5-8 acre range. Then you have summer time planting.
Someone better have some deep pockets, as there isn't going to be enough money to keep it going.

That would be like paying to go out on a charter boat and being charged for catching a fish. Just doesn't sound right. This. Not to mention the notion of unlimited harvest per membership is like burning the furniture to stay warm.

Ok so let's go to $150 per doe and only 2 guns per membership per hunt.
So this brings it to Does $150 Young bucks $500 Mature deer $350 1st then +$100 extra Greenfield usage fees $25 Any surplus will be directly applied to the following years fee schedule so as the members benefit
All deer fees are to be paid in full before hunting again and greenfield fees are assessed at the end of the week via the log.
And all deer are very welcome to be killed.
Think about this set of rules seriously. How much bs would this eliminate in clubs. Go look at the Clubs/Leases section right now. Deer season isn't over yet and there's tons of people already unhappy. On the first year is expect to lose money.

That would be like paying to go out on a charter boat and being charged for catching a fish. Just doesn't sound right. There's a couple guys in Texas that own commercial fishing boats and if you pay for the fish they'll take you out there to catch them for free.
