I can't spell.
I consider myself a fairly intelligent individual, but I suck at spelling. I think auto correct, combined with the ability to instantly spell check anything I type, has made it worse.
Anybody else share this shortcoming?

I think it has gotten a lot worse on here the last three or four years. What bugs me is people typing loose instead of lose. Here instead of hear. There are several more but I can't recall them right now. If I notice I spelled something incorrectly I will fix it. It used to be people would point this stuff out on here. I think people got tired of being called the spelling/English police.

I think people got tired of being called the spelling/English police. Hear, here. Their, there, they're. Who, Whom. Your, you're. I know how to use words and their meanings, its just the spelling. There was a time when I was working on an education major. Believe it, or not, I was going to be an English teacher. Long story short, I never finished that degree and ended up in the electrical field, but I managed to make all A's in my English, Lit, and composition classes. It all came natural to me. I just can't spell.

I hate English , always have .. I made B"s in English all the way through school . Made A's in everything else, loved math and science. Just never liked it from an early age, a B was always good enough for me. Good thing I went into construction.
