I shoot the Stubby XL in my M2. It's a 2 3/4" load. Looks small shoots BIG!

I have had guns that wouldn't cycle the 3 inch roll crimped loads. I sold the gun.
Your only solution is to change guns or loads.

Your only solution is to change guns or loads. Or back it up with factory load or 1 5/8 oz. My Franchi Affinity will not feed the 3" load I use from the magazine. However it ejects the hull fine so I just back up with a factory load or 1 5/8 oz load of TSS.

My m2 will cycle the 3 inch 1 5/8 oz load, but I haven't actually measured it to see if it's a full 3 inches

I didn't have any issues with my 12 ga 3" 1187 cycling TSS loads.

I didn't have any issues with my 12 ga 3" 1187 cycling TSS loads. My Benelli m1 super 90 will not cycle the 3 inch TSS load I shoot, so I just put magblends in for my backup shots.

I trim down to .25 inch above my overshot. That will help some if it's close.

I just add something the right height and use a utility knife.
Drop in the top on the over shot card and trim to the top. I never got around to making a dowel.
Most of my guns don't require the trimming to function.

The heck with going thru all the trouble of loading TSS and backing it up with factory loads. My M2 is 3 deep with 2 3/4" TSS.
If you have to shoot the 3" buy a Gaep roll crimp. Mine tend to be a tad bit shorter when using the Gaep vs. BPI.
