I know were you folks are coming from. I own a 1993 Chevy P/U with 280,000 miles had it for 20 years and counting, still runs great, uses a little oil when it gets close to changing time but that is no biggie. I decided to buy myself a used Tacoma, wanted to give a Toyota a try, and was shocked at the price of the truck, blew me away.

But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?

Crazy.
I have a friend selling his 05 f150 4 door 4x4 at a good price (I think).
93,000 miles, never in mud for 13,500.

Got any info on the truck or his contact info?

Based off that, buying new seems like a better deal, because that truck is more than halfway done.
Have you priced new ones? I have a 2010 F150 too which sported a sticker price of $42k....to buy a 2015 with the same options sported a sticker price between $58-60k depending on color...I'm scared to look this year....trucks are getting as expensive as homes....

there's a reason I'm still driving my 98 F-150 with about 150,000 miles on it. It's a little rough around the edges, but it gets from point a to point b and back

Eh, bout a 2003 gmc z71 regular cab (papaw truck) in the fall of '14. Had 157k on it and walked out the door for just over 5k.

Danged, Man! Almost $18K for a 10 Y.O. truck. You are scaring me.

Still driving my 1998 Toyota Landcruiser that I picked up on 9/11/01 (yep, easy to remember that day) Paid $31k for it with 33k miles; could not buy it's replacement with 100k miles for that price now. Has 245k on it now and I have had one $900 repair. I am driving on "house money" at this point.

I bought my last used truck online. Flew to Houston to pick it up (and did some client business while I was there).

I paid taxes when I got home (no tax there) but I ended up saving 5K over what the local dealerships would give me on a similar used one.

In 2008 I bought a 2005 F150 Lariat 4x4 Crew Cab with 61k for $14,500. Crazy lol. Almost EIGHT years ago.

I bought my new 2015 a few months ago after looking for a used 2013-2014 and found that in every way measurable it was cheaper to buy a new one than a used one with 40k miles on it.

I drive a 01 Z71. For 13 years, I worked from home so it is still low mileage (128K). But when the time comes, I will just drop a crate motor into it and keep on driving it. New/Used prices are ridiculous.

I purchased my 2004 Crew Cab Tundra in 2008 for $15K. It had 30K miles on it when I bought it. It was a good deal at the time. But nothing crazy. It now has 168K miles on it and it books for about $13K-$14K. To me that is insane! My only complaint is that I purchased this truck when I was not hunting much and I didn't need 4wd. Now I want a 4wd truck soon and I am afraid that I will just stick with my truck.

$30K - 40K for a one year old used, new to me Tundra is ridiculous!!!!!

I think when banks started giving out these 6-8 year loans for new vehicles, it allowed the prices to go up so that people could "afford" the higher prices.

It used to be that 5 years was the max you could get a loan for. Now you can get an 8 year loan at my local credit union for a new vehicle. That's insane to me!!!!!

I know where a 2013 dodge ram 2500 gas burner is. 34,000 miles 26,000. Those trucks are sharp but that's a lot of money for a vehicle

Yep just dropped a new 5.7 HD crate motor in my 2000 Tahoe. $2k is much better than 20K.

Try buying class 5-8 trucks. They have doubled in price in 2 years. Lots of trucks being exported south of the border.

Do export trucks have all the same EPA emissions crap that domestic trucks have?
