Wow. It always puzzle me why people don't just read the state game laws. why do that when you can just ask on Aldeer and get 35 wrong answers?????
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Wow. It always puzzle me why people don't just read the state game laws. why do that when you can just ask on Aldeer and get 35 wrong answers????? I must admit that I have not read the regulations in years regarding turkey hunting, I think I remember it saying "gobblers only". That being said, of all the District Judges that I practice in front of, I don't know of a single one that wouldn't dismiss a case with an inexperienced hunter shooting a bearded hen. Lonster

I have never see her with poults. But I have watched her on the roost make some of the most harrowing sounds you ever heard coming from a turkey. She is extremely vocal with cuts and yelps when she is on the ground, but only tries to gobble on the roost. Would keep it around just to hear that sound. Carry a few people hunting and don't tell them about hen just tell them not to shoot it. What the heck was that?

Oh I was just stirring the pot a little. Some guys who say it's ok and understandable to accidentally shoot button bucks during deer season think it's treason to shoot a bearded hen. Everybody has their own standards I suppose.
