Good eats...you must try Zunzis and Old Pink House. Zunzis is the hole-in-the- wall, locals fav and has some interesting flavors. Pink House is very historic and has been on food shows many times over.

When we were there several years ago, there was a place that had good live rock music going that was on the river walk. All I could tell you is that it was almost to the end of the boardwalk on what I would believe to be the north end. No idea what the name was.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

An "Old School" Southern food dinning experience is, Mrs Wilkes Boarding House on Jones St. You need to be in line at 1100 local time. The dinning is a little different from what you may be used to, but the food is good. It is a little touristy ,but holds with the Old South traditions. Lunch only and be early. Be prepared to dine with strangers, but the food and experience is worth it. Skip Paula Deen's. there are a hundred meat and threes in Alabama that are just as good. It is just a place for northerners to taste southern food, i.e. vegetables that are cooked and well seasoned. Ye Olde Pink House is good food, as well as The Cotton Exchange.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
