Congratulations! Now the fun starts...I could stay down at the barn and watch our kids for hours, they are a hoot! Some advice; put your hands on them everyday. Keep them used to being handled and having you in close proximity. We have a pair of twins now that have a shy mother, and they take their cues from her. Since she's confined to a kidding pen right now, she's warming up about being handled, and her little buckling is, too...the little doeling is still pretty shy, though. We have another pair of twin does that think they're lapdogs...they LOVE them some people!

I kneel down, and pull a food pan over between my feet, pour feed into it and stay there with my hands on my knees...she has to come between your hands to get to the food, and she's GOING to get to the food! Start with just a short, light touch, and once she's comfortable with that, try scratching behind the ears or under the jaw. I would say to ask some of the Walker County boys, but anything they tell you would result in your goats backing up to you everytime you're in the pen!

Nannies and the babies are nice, but the dang Billies are nasty son of a guns. They do things that aren't natural. They stink pretty unnaturally, too!

Mine have singles now and then, usually twins. I've had 2 nannies die a week or two after kidding twins, and I kinda suspect it was because of third that didn't deliver and maybe caused an infection. That keeps happening while I'm at work, though, and the carcass just gets buried or burned, so no post-mortem...
