Wife and I rode up to the Cabelas in Huntsville yesterday to "piddle" around a while. I was really impressed with the wild game mounts they have, especially the huge whitetail standing in the cornfield. I really enjoy looking at quality work and their mounts are unreal. I also loved the old hunting photos they had on display. They bring back a lot of memories of the old days that have gotten away from me.
It is well worth your time to drop in and look around.

Only been in there once but it is impressive. Prices seem high. Fun to walk around and keep a mental running tab of all the goodies I'd like to buy but don't need. The kids loved checking out the ATVS and tractors. The prices seem high because the ARE high! Cabela's is a great place to go look, figure out what you want, then go order it online. Unless you've got deep pockets like Jughead.... I've heard that Cabela's has a man that meets him in the parking lot, opens his car door after he rolls to a stop in the parking lot, etc..... Again, just what I've heard!!!

Always enjoy walking around in there. Never buy much. They will occasionally have something I'm looking for that I want right away, but I pretty much buy everything online now. Still fun to browse and look at the mounts!
I will say, I have found some good deals in the bargain cave for fishing stuff. Wife and I spent over an hour in the bargain cave. There were some great deals on some Leupold scopes. There was also enough 22 shells to start a war with there. Seems like you cannot locate the 22 shells when you need them and I didn't pick up any of them. They were 34.99 for a 500 round brick of Remington Thunderbolts which is about as cheap as I have seen in a while. It is amazing at the inventory they have there. Anything you can imagine, they have there. They also have enough help that knows what you are asking about which was really great.
I can't stand a thief.

I was in there yesterday too and fortunately (or maybe unfortunately) they had everything I was looking for and on sale. Picked up some Blackhorn 209 powder and Browning game cameras. The discount for current and former military is nice too.

I treat Cabelas like Harbor Freight. I only buy on sale or closeout. With that said, I have found some real deals at Cabelas online and ship to store.

They will price match too... I bought some nice MT50 stuff that was on sale on their website but not in the store, I told the checkout folks and they gave me the online price which was $75 cheaper. I've done that for a few items they have... always check to see if the product is on sale on their website before buying.

If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

Only been in there once but it is impressive. Prices seem high. Fun to walk around and keep a mental running tab of all the goodies I'd like to buy but don't need. The kids loved checking out the ATVS and tractors. I know it's not helping the local economy but I still buy online and ship to store. Most items are cheaper that way then I can just window shop at the store. It's a shame we can't get same prices at the location but I realize online the overhead is so much less... honestly I still can't believe the spent all that money on a physical building in this day and age unless it was just because there was some kind of tax incentive(s) that I'm just too ignorant to understand
