It was mind boggling to me. I've never hoarded the rimfire stuff or understood why one would.

That's why no one else has a chance at any. What if the next 3 guys wanted a box?? I would rather have shotgun shells than .22s anyway. Lots more useful and more practical. For me anyway.

Most practical survival round out there. not much noise, not much recoil, relatively low maintenance weapon. Can kill a bird, squirrel, deer or person. Lots of bullets take up very little space.

If somebody wants to buy up .22, that just makes an ammo company more money. Good for them.
As for the reason, that fella can carry all 3k rounds in a backpack and kill just as dead within 100yds as a big caliber Most practical survival round out there. not much noise, not much recoil, relatively low maintenance weapon. Can kill a bird, squirrel, deer or person. Lots of bullets take up very little space. I could see that. Just seems like folks are going crazy about this bullet boarding. But hey, can't beat em, join em right??!! Lol
