Hey guys, lurked for a long time but decided to join in and ask for some help. Story is my family is orginally from Piedmont, I graduated from Jax State where i met my wife and we have moved around until we settled in Savannah Ga back in thr early 90's. My father lived in Fernandina Beach where he settled while working with CSX. We have fished offshore for 20years but his dream was to retire and move back to Bama and retire on a lake that ended up being Wedowee. He built a small house on the road that goes to the damn. We wanted to have a big fish fry for the Ala Usc game but the way we have done so far its quickly becoming a pizza and wing event. Caught a few fish on the first couple of trips but on the last 3 trips out 0 crappie. I have been able to manage a few bass but he really has his heart set on being able to catch some crappie. Anybody willing to take a trip and show us what we are doing wrong. I will pay everything just want advise not your holes. We have trolled and tried shooting docks but these elusive fish have humbled me . Thanks guys

Crappie bite has got tough the last two weeks.

My mom had a lot at Swagg for years, in June & July we would catch crappie at night off the lit pier. They wouldnt be there all the time but would move in & out & could catch them on any given night. Jess can help you for sure too.

PS...those small spots are better eating than the crappie to me.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have seen you offer othes b4 and it is really cool. It means alot to me to help my pop get on some fish. Funny how it was nothing for us to run a 100 miles off of Fernandina and Jacksonville to catch Wahoo, Dolphin and Tuna and I cant figure out the crappie bite. I really do appreciate the help and hope to meet a few new friends
