OK, 93 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 6 cylinder is not firing at all. I know ive posted this on here before, but cant find the thread. If i remember correctly, everybody pointed to the Crank Position Sensor. What do you say? Anybody with experience on this problem? Thanks, Robinhedd

4.0's are notorious for crank sensor failure.. id recommend getting a OEM one.
XJtalk, cherokeeforum are very helpful sites for them.

The engine turns over, but no fire or spark. It did the same thing about 15 years ago, & it was the Crank position sensor.

I had one that if the battery ever got low would do that. It had the alarm in it and it wouldn't fire. Had to put the key in the rear hatch and turn it three times. It would fire right up.

Mine doesnt have an alarm system, but it does have power locks and windows. I read on a forum today, after changing every possible part (CPS, coil, plug wires, rotor button) that a guy told someone to hit the door unlock on the passenger side 3 times to re-set. The guy said it fired right up.

Hope you have small hands.I don't and it was nearly impossible for me but I got it changed out.Why in the world they put it all the way on top of the flywheel is beyond comprehension.

Does the check eng. light come on when the key is on? Does it have injector pulse? All these things tell you where to start looking.

I charged the battery & tried to start the Jeep again yesterday. I checked for fire coming from the ignition coil, nothing. I also noticed the power locks on the doors not working, the power windows work fine? Robinhedd
