I appreciate the input guys. Does anyone else have any advise? Plan on trying to spray some places this weekend. Thanks in advance. I need some advice on the field in that pic - it's been too wet to plant for weeks and no end to the rain in sight. I wish they were up that size now and getting the benefit of all this rain. BTW, that field stopped getting rain at about 50 days old last year and I made next to nothing. Weather seldom cooperates with a chufa grower.

Ttt Hoping someone might have some Milestone that would sell me 2-3 oz. I only have a small field of chufas and they look good, but so does the coffee weeds and burrs. Thanks in advance.

My understanding is yes and no. The application rate is finicky and too much could kill the chufas. If you were to hit it right you could get by, but to me the risk is to high. I'm splitting a quart of Milestone with a buddy and we should be set for a while at 2oz/acre. I think there is enough wiggle room in the Milestone for me to feel better about the app rate. But that's just my opinion. I'm by absolutely no means no expert on chufas or herbicides like so some of the other guys, so I may be WAYYY off on my statement. Really this is my first serious go round (I played with them before.) Mine are close to my house and I'm babying them like a 4H Watermelon...
Good luck with yours.
I think that's good advice. Don't use more than a pint per acre if you try it. If you get rain and the plants are healthy it will probably work. I have killed chufas graveyard dead with it, so be careful.

I've got a 50 gallon sprayer.
What is the mix ratio I'd need of 2-4DB and Clethodim?

I've got a 50 gallon sprayer.
What is the mix ratio I'd need of 2-4DB and Clethodim? The per acre ratio that Mully gave above is all that really matters. So it totally depends on how much land you are gonna spray with that 50 gallons. I use a 25 gallon ATV sprayer and I have figured out how fast to run the ATV so that I can cover an acre with a tank. So if I were gonna use his mix, I'd use a quart and 10 oz, along with a pint of surfactant. You could use the same amount of herbicide if you are gonna cover an acre with your tank; double it if you can cover 2 acres; prorate it if you are gonna cover some amount in between. The amount of water is irrelevant unless you are really getting extreme one way or the other.
