Its good but I rarely go for it.
Its because I will eat $65 in Sushi and then need to stop at Taco Bell on the way home to fill up.
No other protein does this to me. I will eat chicken, pork, beef, venison, wild game, etc. and the protein fills me up but Sushi and sashimi never do. Don't understand it.

I prefer sashimi, with wasabi, and soy sauce - my favorites in order are: tuna (akami - because I am cheap), salmon (sake), and octopus (tako) - I greatly dislike sea urchin (uni).
A few years ago we went to Venice, LA for a fishing trip and caught several 120+lb yellowfin. Between the 6 of us - we probably ate 6 or 7 lbs of sashimi over two nights. Vacuum packed the rest (every person brought home a 48-quart cooler fully packed with yellowfin tuna steaks).
You didn't get sick?? From what I understand in order for fish to be sushi grade, it has to be flash frozen to negative 30+ or something to kill off all parasites or frozen at 2 degrees for like 30+ days. I could be way wrong just always heard this cuz I've been searching for some local sushi grade fish to save money n make my own.
I used to travel to Tallahasse, FL quite a bit - Sakura Japanese Sushi and Grill. No sickness (we went in February and fished the lump) - off the boat and back at the marina - we quartered the tuna (upper and lower), put it into a few very large coolers (120qt Igloo marine coolers), went to the house we were staying at, cut the large chunks of meat into steaks, removed the skin, and vacuum packed the tuna steaks. As we were cutting it into steaks - a guy would take a piece and cut it into very thin slices. We ate like kings, but looked like vagabonds.

I like sushi pretty good, but I HATE cucumber and fish eggs so I'm particular when eating it. Publix actually has some pretty good rolls, their probably my favorite.
I prefer the slice of fish on the rice bed, saki sushi here in town has a sample platter of it, love tuna and smoked salmon,

Y'all check out Wok Sushi buffet in Austria, google it. Most elaborate all you can eat sushi bar I've ever seen in my life. All of it is 5-star sushi/sashimi
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Mackerel is good when it's fresh. It's also not raw. Yes, a 15- to 18-year-old definitely can put a hurt on you at the sushi bar.

Tuna Sashimi or Nigiri are my favorites. However, the tuna we get in Alabama is RARELY the real deal Bluefin Tuna. I once had bluefin tuna at a resturant in California and I was amazed at how much better it really is. I would be bankrupt if they sold that stuff here.
As mentioned by Toothdoc, Jensei in Homewood is the best in Birmingham but I do love Surin (any location). The super crunch roll at Surin is the best roll sushi in Alabama. Wasabi is also a rarity Wasabi is difficult to cultivate, and that makes it quite expensive. Outside Japan, it is rare to find real wasabi plants. Due to its high cost, a common substitute is a mixture of horseradish, mustard, starch and green food coloring or spinach powder. Often packages are labeled as wasabi while the ingredients do not actually include wasabi plant. Wasabi and horseradish are similar in taste and pungency due to similar isothiocyanate levels.[9] The primary difference between the two is color with Wasabi being naturally green.[10] In Japan, horseradish is referred to as seiyō wasabi (西洋わさび?, "western wasabi").[11] In the United States, true wasabi is generally found only at specialty grocers and high-end restaurants.[12]
