I'm riding home yesterday listening to satellite radio and they're playing the Jim Breuer podcast. Work has me on the road a good bit so I've listened to other podcasts like Joe Rogan and others. The ones I like all have a similar feel. They are guys sitting around talking about things they are interested in. That got me to wondering if anyone had ever bothered to do a podcast on turkey hunting. I feel like I could sit around and talk about it endlessly. I get home and pull up I-tunes and sure enough, a guy already has one and he's from Birmingham. Any of you guys ever listened to it?
Anybody know this dude? Is he a member here? Surely he's been here. I don't know how you could be a turkey hunter in Alabama and not end up here at some point while digging around on the web. If the guy is a member here and chose not to make his podcast known for some reason, my apologies. But if you had a podcast, I'd think you'd want to attract listeners. Isn't that the point?

Let's use pod cast in a sentence. "I used to pod cast really bad in the trees when I younger, would backlash the hell out of them open face reels."

Its a shame what you guys have done to Yelp Softly's thread. Yelp Softly, I'll be the nice guy who actually answers your question - I've never heard of the guy. Maybe Skinny can tell you if he is on aldeer. I guess anybody can make up a podcast, so there is no certainty those who make them know anything. Best info is right here anyway.

PCP, I was asking out of sheer curiosity. I thought there was a decent chance the guy posted here. I guess not. Some podcasts can be a good listen, some are not. I think the subject matter could make for an entertaining listen if done correctly. I haven't listened to this one enough to make a judgment on it. That's why I inquired here, just to see if anyone else had heard any of them.

>>>You need to get back to that zip gun.<<< I actually might have already made it, theoretically. I might have even tested it with primed hulls and got it to fire. Its possible I could be planning a real test with a live round, but said test involves a big poplar tree for protection.

Joe rogan has Steven Rinella on his podcast often. They are awesome to listen to, all they talk about is hunting. They get pretty deep into it, talking about natural history and evolution things like that. I've never heard a turkey hunting pod cast seems turkey hunting is a little to cultish to be able to have a weekly or monthly podcast about. The vast majority of people would listen starting in March and quit in May. Those were exactly my thoughts. I have no desire to listen to someone talk about turkey hunting in September, but I'd listen to it in the spring months.
