ones I'm seeing are running 75% still in velvet
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Got 7 different bucks coming to the camera, one totally out, a couple that had a few tines peeling, and the others still full.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

I have never seen one in bow season with velvet, by Oct 15 I think they will all have hard antlers only. JMO Unless they are a freak and never loose velvet.

I have never seen one in bow season with velvet, by Oct 15 I think they will all have hard antlers only. JMO Unless they are a freak and never loose velvet. Same here Perch. I've seen some killed that still had some shreds of velvet around the bases or something.

Yes, bucks will eat velvet its protein. There was a man in Greensboro that raised a buck in a pen. if he didn't get'em quick it would eat sheds too.

I've always wanted to kill one in velvet, but I'm told the season in Bama opens too late to make that happen.
oh well I have 2 buddies with velvet mounts from central Alabama. One was October 15 kill, and might very well have shed that night. The other was an abnormality. Was in January, full velvet. I think his nuts were undecended too
