Anybody have one? Wanting to purchase myself a new grill and strongly considering a traeger. If anyone has any experience with them fill me in.

I love mine. I was on the fence about it cause you have to have power to grill. But after I got one, it was the best money I have spent. Love making deer jerky on it. The built in temperature probes are nice too. Don't have to keep opening lid to check your food. Traeger is the only pellet smoker I have had experience with

The cabelas brand is just as good if not a bit better. When my traeger crapped out I went the cabelas route.

Always heard they were cadillac. I like my electric smoker cause it is easy, but honestly I like playing with fire.

I have the Traeger Daniel Boone model and it works great. Pricey but worth it.

I got the renegade elite a couple of months ago and love it. I've not used any other pellet smoker/grill so I can't speak to those. I've used it to cook a lot of food since I got it and it's awesome. The Treaeger pellets can be pricey. The B&B brand at academy are a lot cheaper and the reviews on them were great. I don't regret buying the renegade and thought I would after making an impulse buy while watching the informercial on one of the hunting channels.

How much do the wood pellets cost and where do you have to buy them?

I wouldn't mind getting something like that one day. I've had food off of one, and it was great.

$12-$15 a bag. I get them from my BinL hardware store or the BBQ shop in scottsboro.

A bag last a long time when smoking. Much cheaper than charcoal.

I've never cooked on an egg, but I love the convenience of the set it and forget it style of the treager. It never burns out or gets too hot. It's always just right. Turn the switch on and walk off.

This^^^^^, load it up with butts, fill the hopper, set it on 250 and go to bed. Butts ready next morning, can't get any easier than that.
