Might be a dumb question. Most folks strap it to a tree I'm sure, but a lot of my fields have brushy borders and it makes it hard to get a good clear view. Anybody use a tripod of some sort? I've tried T posts with varying success. Maybe I'm over thinking it.

I just steal mine in a tree. Have heard of people putting them above where your location is, like overhanging limb.

Go buy you one of those plant hanging poles with that you can just step on at the bottom and secure in the ground. They make them different heights, but the 5 footers work best. Mount you a small piece of wood with u-bolts to the pole and secure just snap camera onto board using whatever clip your camera attach too.

Moultrie sells a small t-post type camera mount. I always thought it would be nice to have for all of my cams, but I am not gonna spend another $25 for the mount.

I've used these for the last 18 months. They work great.

That's nice but, I could only use it at elevated heights here I think. The elk like to play with the cams and would probably rotate the cam to weird positions here unless it gets really tight to the tree.

I have two game cam stands from BPS. They were about $25 each but it looks like they went up. Some of my cams don't fit exactly so I use zip ties to secure them to the stand. It's been working for years. It saves a lot of hassle.
