I dropped back to the 150 Ballistic Tips, they shoot exceptionally well with 50gr of CFE 223, or 46gr of Varget. 165 SST shot good to but they don't seem to perform on deer like the ballistic tips.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

the average shot is under 200 yds, do you think you will be shooting deer at 900 yards? Probably not likely, so I would go with a good reputable bullet that is designed for deer, sst , ballistic tips, accubonds, TTSX, all shoots as good as match kings and amax through my gun, but even if I saw a deer at 900 I wouldn't take that shot . About 500 is my limit with 308, but have only made skill at 420. I have shot multiple targets out to 1000 also.

Again, tried a few other bullets without the SMK accuracy in my gun. Just asking SMK vs SGK comparison.

Match kings are for match, game kings are hunting bullets, it's that simple you are trying to over complicate the scenarios. The game king will do anything on deer sized game in a 308 that needs to be done. Best thing to do would be shoot the game kings in your gun if you want the true results that only the gun can tell you.
