I'm not sure of the feed style, but trust me...it works like butter. I've owned just about every lefty know to man and it is at the top of my list. Don't overlook the trigger either. It is one of the best factory triggers you will find. Thanks for all the replies thus far, keep them coming. My son shoots left handed so no issues there on handing the gun down.
I don't want a single shot and I don't want a Browning. No specific reasons, I just don't, and that's reason enough.
2Dogs, is the Tikka controlled feed or push feed? One of the first left handed rifles I ever bought was a mid 90's Savage. It was a long action 22-250. I HATED that rifle. The rounds just rolled around in the action while it closed. Piece of crap. Swore I'd never own another long action, short action gun. I'm sure the Tikkas are fine guns as much as they're talked about on here.

I'm left handed and I shoot all right handed rifles. Never had a problem I thought I was one of only three southpaws in the world that does it that way. Good to know there is four of us now. I almost bought a left handed Sako one time but bolting it felt weird to me.

I vote for the American also. I just ordered my third one last night. Now I'll have a 30-06, .260 and .308. The 260 and 308 are both predators.

Make it 6. I'm right handed but shoot long guns left handed. Go figure. Is it because you're left eye dominant? Got a friend that is right handed and left eye dominant. He still shoots right handed but he has some difficulty with it.

Of course growing up he knew nothing about this until he joined the military.

I'm left handed and I wouldn't know what to do with a left handed rifle or bow for that matter. But I've seen a few at this gun show in robertsdale over the years

I am also right handed but shoot lefty. I love my ruger American in 308 it's a tack driver and I have never owned a lefty rifle. I am so used to shooting the right handed models I'm sure a lefty model would feel weird to me. The Americans are great guns we have them in 308,270,243, and 22.
The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week. Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.
The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

I started out right eye dominant and shooting right handed. After blowing myself up in 1997, I was able to still shoot right handed using a scope. In 2006 my retina came loose again and I now have a "persistent macular hole" in my right eye so it don't work real good anymore. I had to learn to shoot all over again. Holding a shotgun or rifle left handed felt very awkward then one day it just "fit".

I am in the southpaw camp as well, left eye dominant right handed but my grandfather was blind in his right eye so I learned to shoot lefty. I shot right hand bolts left handed up until about 10 years ago when I finally bought a left hand weatherly acumark. I have shot the tikkas and they are nice and slick, I bought a ruger American in 30-06 but the bolt was rougher than any other ones I have handled. If you reload CDNN has the ruger Hawkeyes in 300 and 338rcm on sale for $499. My next lefty will either be a custom 338-06 on a Borden action or the same caliber in a cooper.
