Thought some of you might want to see this.



This is the first one I've ever recovered. This deer was quartered hard to me, shot him at the base of the neck and the bullet busted through the offside shoulder and was lodged just under the hide. This is a 130 grain out of a sako finnlight 308. About 3050 fps.

He rolled about 10 feet down the side of the bluff.

Looks like great results. I use the standard tsx in my 30/06 but have never recovered a bullet.

Shooting them in my sons 7-08, 270, and 300wsm

All I load is ttsx. Best bullet made I think.

those little blue pills are some bad news,for sure!!

Can't ask for any better performance. Did you weigh it to see how much it retained?

I load the tsx for my .300 RUM and have recovered some from in a stump (back stop) and weight retention has been 72-78% on them. It I've never recovered one from an animal because they always pass through.

Only issue in some guns is accuracy (so I've heard)

Weighed in at 129.8 grains. These things are something else.

How much Varget are yall putting behind 130 barnes bullets?

I'm using 45 grains of IMR4064.

The burn rates are about the same for IMR4064 and Varget.

I don't have any Varget.

47.5 grains of varget will turn one inside out but you might need to work up to it. The most consistent load we've come up with in 3-4 different rifles is 49.5 grains of RL-15 and an OAL of 2.200

I am not surprised. I'm loading TTSX in 243 and 308 ... soon to be doing 223 heck I might even try it in 3006

Their pricey but,, the Barnes all copper tipped Bullets are all I feed my 7mm magnum

I went through several powders when working up my load with help of a few good folks here on aldeer. I never could get the velocity I was wanting until I tried TAC powder. I settled on 50 grains TAC seated at .09 from the lands.
