Corn will for sure make them move only at night. The Clorox stump is what you need if you want daytime movement.
I thought everyone knew that

Yes. corn absolutely makes deer nocturnal this is why the car insurance companies don't allow the DCNR to legalize baiting.

Presence with intent to harm. I throw out a little corn for my neighborhood blacktails. On a cold morning they don't wait for me to go inside. They even bed down in the yard if they a tending a hungry doe--just wait for her to get her fill. They give me quite a show. But... within two days of the season opener, the does are still coming in daylight, but the bucks wait until night. It takes them about a week after the season closes to get back to daylight visits.

That's a good buck. I've never seen one bigger in person, just in print. They use to be on my bucket list.

Riding ATVs everywhere makes them nocturnal

My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Centralala--I have seen bigger ones when I couldn't get the camera (I am so low tech I still use a flip-phone). This is the biggest visitor I photographed. He showed up after the season in 2014, and I have never seen him since. He was tending a doe. The general season in my part of Oregon is in October, and the rut starts in November. We can only shoot one buck per year, and no does in this area.
