is a 125" buck worth pissing off all your neighbors? If you plan to move in the near future then fire away, but if not, I would consider the long term consequences.

One thing I've learned over the years, no matter how big the deer, the initial thrill wears off after a couple of days and at that point you either have a deer you are proud of cause you killed it right and you have a great memory or a deer you wish you hadn't killed.. I personally would get nothing out of killing a buck in my back yard, but that's just me.

I had a friend form north Carolina who would come down fishing and gator hunting by me in Louisiana, I would go up and deer hunt at his place, it was great hunting got a couple nice bucks. When I came out the woods cars were backed up, asked my buddy he said people often stopped to feed the deer. I felt bad for second but it went away. They were wild no fence just a honey hole

Here's what I would do. I'd contact the owner of the woods behind your house and see if I could get a permit. Shoot him back there, no harm, no foul. You shoot him while he's eating your neighbors rose bush, things may get ghetto for you.

If he's killing my fruit trees, eating my shrubs costing me work and $, I'll turn him a flip. If he wants to live he better stay over at the neighbors who love him.

Yard deer have to go over 150" before risking the neighborhood peace
I thought everyone knew that ?

I'd shoot him if he were eating my roses. I don't give a hoot bout shooting a buck that size. I wouldn't shoot a 160 in my yard, however that SOB eating the roses and killing my trees, he gone!

Kill him then put him on the front your wife's car and drive through the neighborhood honking your horn.

There's something seriously wrong with the majority of you. The one place a deer is safe is in my backyard. I have greenfields within 400 yds of my house where they are fair game if they are going on the wall but the backyard is a safe zone. It's not like I need to kill one from the deck to feed my family

suppressed 308 with subsonic ammunition. Sounds like a pellet gun and you can hear the bullet hit the deer. High shoulder shot will drop him. Jus sayin...

I live well out in the country, to hear a gun shoot is no more thought of than a crow hollering. About 20 years ago I had a corn feeder and food plot about 70 yards behind the house. Deer were in it all the time. There was a nice buck that showed up one year, and the next year he was a lot better. By the time he was about 5 he was a nice 130"+ buck and I could have shot him a bunch of times, but my wife and the grandkids like to see them, one morning he was asleep about 10 yards behind our kitchen window. I never shot a deer in my yard, there is no accomplishment in something like that.

When I played baseball at Jacksonville state our coach lived in a sub division that had some very big deer coming up. One much bigger than 125. Several of us hunted and joked with him about shooting his deer. You could tell he wouldn't have had any of that though. Me brother and I looked hard around the area to try and find somewhere that would allow us to hunt those deer. Never did work out though. He might have put us off the team had we have worked it out though smile
