for real Alabama buck, killed ahead of a single dog tracking it. Weight was way over 300 pounds live., that fella killed a buck a week before this one that weighed 305 live, this one was bigger.

huntin the big lease
just a guess but im saying he grosses between 190 and 200. looks like he has like 40 to 50 inches of mass on top of a 160- 165 type frame.. i wouldn't wait long enough to guess it if I saw him I know that

If this is the deer i'm thinking about, it grossed over 200, and netted low 180's...But this may be A different deer.

Ben, I do not remember. I used to have my original score sheet on the buck, no telling where it is now. I had to rescore it because I was sure I had made a mistake on the gross score. LOL

But seriously, it's impossible to tell from just that picture...can't really determine any scale. I don't think it's that big. Just a safe, wide range, I'm saying between 150-165.

That is a big deer!!! Can't see his entire rack but the palmation on his main beam will push up the score.

If his one side matches pretty closely to the side you can see, then I came up with a gross score of around 200, but that can't be right, can it???

Whatever it is, that is a fine deer!!!
