As to the years, I suspect he means late model or early models. They made a change about 1971.

Early models have rear lift lever and hydraulic remote levers on dash to left of steering wheel.

Late models have lift and remote levers on a console bolted to the fender to the right of the driver. Was in the JD business in Central and South Alabama for 20 years. Never seen many power shifts. A few but never two by same owner.

Would love to see pics. Ever had a brake job? Top shaft synchronizer's done (on the gear model I mean). How many hours (showing)? How are the tires? Canopy tops on them or at least ROPS (roll bar bolted to axles)? How long have you had them?

Those tractors were surely the king of the hill in their prime.

Cut my teeth on the 3020s and 4020s. Can't beat them for reliability and ride. Good grief we thought we could farm the world when we bought a 5020 with duals on the back. Of coarse we had to enlarge all our gates. Some decent prices is if they are in decent shape. Not by any way knocking the ops price but these model tractor are bringing more money now that what you could get a new one for back in its day. If I was close to you and they are in decent shape I would own all 3 of them tomorrow. Good luck with sale.

They only built them from 64-72. Great classic tractors.

I have an early model 4020 my grandfather left to me. I couldn't begin to tell you the hours (Meter Doesn't Read) but she will fire up in a heart beat and run longer than I can stand it in the heat during August/September. Great Tractors! Good Luck Selling!

The two power shifts are 1964 & 1965 models and the syncrorange is a 1968 model.
All have been gone through front to rear (though its been several years) and all are very good tractors
