What's a decent, used 2 row planter running these days?

central ala,
Covington will probably be the cheapest good planter. ALOT depends on condition. Rust is a serious problem with anything fertilizer related that isn't well maintained. I would guess around $1400 for a good one, maybe even more.

For the same price as a Covington, you can probably find a cut down JD planter.

The Covington 2 row route is going to be easier to deal with as long as you are not trying to plant a lot of acreage. They are great planters and easy to use, setup, etc. To put in a couple acres you can't go wrong there.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

There's a guy named Bill Sand out of Minnesota that refurbs JD 71s and sells them on ebay.

Bought one (2 row) last year for $1,600 in super condition - came with 3 sets of plates. That included shipping to a friends warehouse that had a loading dock.

Easy to use - great planters.
