Hound has some decent food and the fresh pork skins go well with a col'beer. I'm not a big pimento cheese guy, but recommend dabbing the fried pork skins with their pimento cheese. Good stuff. And, a col'beer.

You could hang out with Pat Dye, but he might not have any pants on. I know you jest, but seriously, that is an idea. They do tours of his tree farm and place. I don't know if it is for individuals or just for groups, but I would ride out there one day and check out his Japanese Maple nursery if nothing else. I think there is a little country museum in Notasulga or Loachapoka also while you are out that way.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I wish it wasn't going to be so hot, I would like to go fishing and hiking at the state park. Does anyone know if they have boats to rent at the state park? They do not rent boats, I don't believe, but do have canoes. It has been awhile since I fished out there, however. I would call and ask what they have. It may have changed since when I went. There are some nice trails and views in the park and along the creek, especially down the dirt road at the entrance. The creek is also fun to fish. The brunch served at Acre is great and not nearly as pricey as dinner.

If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them then someday you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.
