I think you're splitting hairs when you get into the high end coolers' performance...they're all going to be very similar.
The tests are interesting, but like the two above, is anyone surprised that the smallest coolers tested perform the best? Makes sense, because the testers are putting the same amount of ice in each cooler, but the smaller coolers aren't cooling the same amount of space the larger ones are. No wonder the smaller ones test better as far as ice retention.

So you think getting the most for your dollar, a lifetime warranty and American made is splitting hairs?

This may not be relevant other than it pertains to the same name brands, but I bought one of the Ozark Trail bag coolers (like the Yeti Hopper) back in the Spring. The zipper was crazy difficult to open and close, and it actually broke on the first day of use. I returned to Walmart and got a new one, exact same experience with the broken zipper day one. As far as holding ice it did superbly though (although it's useless without the zipper).

So you think getting the most for your dollar, a lifetime warranty and American made is splitting hairs? I think performance wise, they're all very similar...and I would expect a smaller cooler to hold the same amount of ice for longer than a larger cooler. Exactly what I said.

I have the RTIC 20 and 30 soft coolers and couldn't be more pleased. I called them and they mailed the 20 for $99 with free 2 day shipping and no sales tax. I've had them both on the beach and in the boat all day and they performed really well.
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

In the test I linked the Orca 58 is compared to the yeti 65 and the orca is actually bigger than the yeti. Orca holds 54 quarts and the yeti holds 51. In the end, just buy what you wont and be happy.
