I went ahead and got the Sports package on Sling this morning. There is a price increase if you wait till after September 17th if I read correctly so if you're thinking about getting Sling, you may want to do it now and save some money.

Let us know what you think. I'm thinking about cutting the cable.

Cutting the cable was one of the best decisions we've ever made. No plans to go back.

Sling wasn't worth it for us. We have a Firestick and Apple TV and use Netflix and Amazon Prime.

See, if I knew I could have access to as much or more college football without satellite as I have with it, I would cancel it in a heartbeat. We already have Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hbo (GO or NOW) and they provide plenty enough TV show/ movie options. I could get a digital antenna and pick up all of the local stations that would have sports, but would have to find a way to get the ESPN and FoX sports channels. I'm gonna dig into it and eventually can DirectTv

I turned my satellite off last week. Last night I signed up for sling trial offer for seven days. So far nothing but trouble, seems like every time I Pause a program or begin to watch a new program, I have to delete the app and reinstall it in order for it to work. This is what they suggested to do from Technical Support. If this doesn't get better I won't continue after the seven day trial. I guess I'll try Hulu next if sling doesn't work out

Mine has been flawless ever since I installed it last year.

For those too lazy to Google it here is the link....

Wiley, what are you streaming thru? Right now I'm using my phone and its not doing good. I was trying to see if I liked it before I bought any sort of equipment like a fire stick. I use to watch dish over my phone all the time and never had any problems, So I think my connections and Internet speeds Are ok. What's you thoughts?

We have the ESPN and FoxSports app that comes loaded on Apple TV. All you need is a family member or friend that still has cable and ask to borrow their sign in and you are ready for game day or in my instance, fight night. 😊

I have a ROKU 2 and Charter Albertville is my ISP. As with any streaming session, the quality of your network (internet provider) and the download speed directly impacts your streaming quality. If your internet service is sketchy, your streaming will also be sketchy.

We have sling tv and an antenna and love it. We shouldn't miss out on any football this season.

I cut the cord 4 months ago. Like it so far. Bought a Antenna, apple tv, Roku sticks for the kids room. Initially, there it is pricey depending on the equipment you go with, but it is worth it. I dropped $140 direct tv for Netflix and hulu plus. Havent looked back. I liked SLING ok but just like the setup of Hulu better.
