Might want to plant something like soybeans or sunflowers. They would of course destroy them but it would darn sure get them in the plot until they did. Yep. I planted a few sunflowers late in the year (August) and they are getting hammered. Good thing is they are dirt cheap.

Sunflowers are over $35 dollars a 50lb bag at Walmart, that's not cheap, but not too bad. That seems high. I found a 40 pound bag on their website for $18. I bought a $7 bag from tractor supply (not sure of the weight) to mix in with my $75 bag of Eagle Seed beans.
